Somehow I missed the whole Jill Abramson controversy, the executive editor of The New York Times who was abruptly fired last week. But a dear friend whose daughter just graduated from Wake Forest brought me up to speed, as Abramson gave the commencement address at the university’s graduation. Impressed with the speech, my friend recommended I watch the remarks on YouTube.
I share Abramson’s remarks with you, in case you missed them, as she reminds us to “show people what you’re made of” whenever disappointment comes your way. Good advice for graduating seniors, and good advice for the rest of us as we forge our path through life.
