Find Your Creative Courage
The great poet Mary Oliver wrote, “The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.”
I don’t want to be filled with regret, and I don’t think you do either. So starting this May, I’ve launched a new podcast called No Time to be Timid. In each episode, we hear from artists who took an unexpected leap and found the courage to answer their creative call, so we can inspire you to answer yours. We share creative tools, too, including the No Time to be Timid manifesto, some guidelines for navigating a more artistic life. Your creative contribution matters, whether big or small.
Don’t regret the creative work you might have done; instead, feel the rush or joy that comes with doing it! Listen here to learn more!
I’ll Tell You My Story.
Whether on stage with The Moth or performing at corporate events, I tell stories and deliver keynote addresses that focus on creative thinking, risk taking, and breaking convention. You can hear my newest story — How to Not Feel Crazy — broadcast on The Moth Radio Hour in May 2022. And stay tuned for the No Time to be Timid podcast, launching this summer!
